bkkrun
Has anyone here managed to subscribe to set or mai IPOs? I already contacted my broker for interest in these but so far he hasn't offered me participation... Am I correct that subscription is only available through the advisor of IPO? Langsuan Man
Here in Thailand most good Initial Public Offerings are offered to friends and relatives first and only to the public if they are not sold out. I have seen a few that were openly advertised in the Business sections of some Thai English language newspapers. The last one I remember seeing advertised was a couple of years ago when PTT opened up to public subscriptions
tingtong
in 10 years, even though we experessed couple occasion interest in IPOs ahead to our brokerage, we never got any IPO share. not even when this brokerage was the lead underwriter. as above said, if you ever manage to get something ( without having very good connections) then probably you wouldnt want to touch those!! monkeycountry
Yes, I bought CPNCG when there was an IPO about a year ago. I did it through SCB (the advisor). I paid upfront, but only got around 10% of the shares I had requested, so assume it was oversubscribed. The rest of the money was of course returned to me.
