September 21, 201312 yr Hello My wife recently took an English test which is required to apply for indefinite lead to remain. The test was at B2 level so I believe the requirements needed in listening and speaking are weak. If so the speaking part for her is fine but the way the results are presented I am not sure if the listening part would be an exceptable result. Would anyone be able to confirm this as trying to find out information on the subject is proving quite difficult. Thank you Tom Edited September 21, 201312 yr by BrotherTom
September 22, 201312 yr Unless your wife cannot understand virtually anything, then I dont think you or your wife have much to worry about. My wife was really worried but passed with a much better result than expected, and she's ok but nowhere near fluent.Hope this helps.
September 22, 201312 yr I take it she will be applying for ILR after October under the new language requirements. Looking at what you have posted, I'm not sure as it doesn't seem to mention listening. When she receives the certificate, it may be clearer. If in doubt, check with the test provider or college. Remember that she will need to pass the LitUK test as well.
September 22, 201312 yr Looks as if they are trying to display the results as some sort of bar-graph ? Request the marks achieved for listening and speaking only but the listening part appears to be in the 'weak' category.
