Don't know about your neck of the woods but I know of a case up in Thalang where the vet who has a practice on the main rd "helped" even though they are a Buddhist. You might have to come up here if you get desperate.

Why non Buddhist, there are plenty of good buddhist vets around and most Thais are buddhist

But Buddhist will not "help"

Phuket Animal Hospital on Chao Fa West, just before the PTT gasstation will help. They did for me anyway with one of the dogs.

PAWS helped my cat after I showed them a letter from my vet suggesting euthanasia. They came over to my house at night and my cat passed away peacefully on my lap.

Good luck OP.

Strange they told me to come to the clinic but next week ! Vegetarian festival seemed more important.

Tnx, Phuket Animal Hospital will help me Paws on the other hand is useless.

Dr Ouie of PAWS and I agreed that one of my very sick dogs (congenital kidney disease) should be allowed to pass without furthering suffering. This was after she'd told me she'd had a couple leave their dog at their clinic for an entire year, on a drip sad.png Another dog with the same condition had been returned to PAWS after just one week, having shown the same symptoms, and not wanting their dog to suffer any more either.

I've known Dr Ouie of PAWS for years and have had NO problems with her. She managed to raise him from the 'almost dead' after Dr Pu of Sai Yuan almost killed one of my dogs by bandaging his ear so tightly he contracted gangrene. Pu okay for small stuff. Dr Pu nice girl, but as a Thai friend remarked a bit 'slowwwww'.

Don't know Dr. Ouie. Only know that my inquiry through their website was not answered and when I called they would not help me, being vegetarian festival.

That's all I know but I'm thankful for Dr. Pu doing the right thing.

She is buried in our garden and her grave looks very nice.

It was actually good for our minds to make her a good resting place and a beautiful one as well.

Actually, I think it was you that made the original inference to the lack of attention being attributable to the Vegetarian Festival.

In the past few days, I've had a cat treated for a blocked digestion system, and what appears to be a now adopted/new arrival kitten that decided to lodge herself in an outside utility room (only about 10 to 12 weeks old).

We have 3 dogs (2 large retrievers and a rescue 'terrier' type). We also have a rescue rabbit (long story). For the past 5 years or so, PAWS have delivered great service to our animals, and keep in mind that they are a non-profit organisation. If you want bespoke service for your pet, sure, get the best vet that you can. I prefer to use PAWS because their treatment is based on what is necessary, and not what is bringing the most commercial gain to a practice. I also acknowledge that all vets and animal professionals have the best interests of the animals at heart.
