Govt bans protest leader from joining reform forum
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The government would not allow the leader of People's Army against the Thaksin Regime to join a political reform forum, former prime minister Banharn Silapa-archa said Wednesday.

The People's Army is holding a protest against the government outside the Government House.

Banharn, the Chat Thai Pattana Party leader chief adviser, disclosed the information during the meeting of the National Reform Council's sub-committee on political issues.

Banharn was answering Bhichai Rattakul, former Democrat Party leader, who said during the meeting of sub-committee that the government should invite Chai Suwannaphap, People’s Army leader, to attend the meeting. But Banharn dismissed the recommendation immediately.

Bhichai said Chai's invitation would show that the government is sincere in political reform.

"If we allow them to participate in this forum, we would not end the meeting at 6-7 pm. Let us invite them to join the next step, not today." Banharn said.

The meeting of the council's sub-committee on political issues began at 2.30 pm after a special cabinet meeting has decided to invoke the Internal Security Act (ISA) in three districts of Bangkok from Wednesday day until October 18.

It would seem that the biggest concern over the meeting is that it ends on time.

The government wants openness and transparency and will listen to all views xecept yours.

In a related issue the dinosaur has announced he is giving up on attracting prople to the orum as they are just not interested. Little wonder with his attitude.

He is more concerned that his cut of the proceeds that the puppet master promises will be eroded if others came to the swill of corruption trough to feed alongside him
