Free Forum Hosting ?

Featured Replies

Anyone know any place that will set up a free forum on their servers? No not competing with thaivisa.

The usual free forum site doesnt appear to be taking request from thailand.

Client wants a web board on their website, but they do not have the technical expertise to run it, so a free forum site would be the best thing for them.

thanks

Nothing is free....

A fully free solution will be ad supported and poor quality.

If you already have hosting for a website then can add opensource forum software for no extra cost.

If have nothing then could get something simple and basic cheap or something good for a higher price.

But with a forum who is your audience? The best forum site in the world is nothing without a large and active community.

If your client is not located in thailand, why not use a VPN connection to set up the free site you know about?

There are dozens of open source projects with free/alterable code that can be set up on a dedicated or shared hosted machine. Then there are the Bigger Issues: 'Adminstration', 'Moderation' and 'System Maintenance' to prevent spammers and hackers that would co-opt your system for their own gain.

Good Luck

If your client has a reputable web host there should be several simple and free forum options available via cpanel or plesk easily setup with a few clicks, if not they should shop for a new host
