Lock up your valuables and put the key under your pillow......facepalm.gif

A safety deposit box in a bank costs about 500bt a year. I know where my valuables are.

The lady can't afford a 500 baht/year deposit box to put her 2,000,000 baht of valuables in, I mean, look at the home. :D

The suspect can be easily identified. His one eye is small. But foreigners are not qualified for the reward.

But just as if you won a lotto, get a Thai friend to claim the prize. Then it's up to you how you share it.

Very hard to get a bank safety box.

Even if she had the combination locked and the key hid you can open that safe with a nail and a hammer. I watched a locksmith open my safe like that several years ago in less than 5 minutes. I now have Euro graded safes. Still possible to get in I think but way more than 5 minutes.

A bit of a harsh generalisation don't you think? The guy here is clearly a scumbag, but he does not represent all Thais. There are people like him in abundance but many more, the majority, are not

I agree MANY are not. Majority maybe but no guarantee.

It's sort of uplifting to read story of Thai Lady being scammed.... good thing she didn't live in high rise or story might have been about "nephew-in-law" testing her flying abilities after safe found empty.

Uplifting? This lady has done something to you to that makes her misfortune cause you so much elation?

My remarks were not personal; as for any reader's inability to understand the humor, I do not apologize. I assure you that no elation was felt and considering hiding the key to the safe under the pillow "misfortune" is really stretching the fact that she fell victim to her own carelessness, thin.

If that is the best you can do as a reply then I would say your comment applies to your self. clap2.gif "Your" implies possession such as "your ignorance is obvious" - the correct usage would be, "You are or you're". cheesy.gif And if no one cares what you really think perhaps it's because you didn't bother to really think! wai2.gif
