Help For Homeless And Mentally Ill In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Who knows how to contact social services in Bangkok about a mentally ill homeless person in my neighborhood? There is a situation that is getting worse and worse on my street in Sathorn / Sribumpen neighborhood.

Does anyone know of any social services organization who help mentally ill people who are homeless?

thanks,

John

In nearly twenty years here, I've never heard of one. There is really no social safety net at all in Thailand other than one's own family. Government plays no role here and private charties are very thin on the ground. I would be very happy for someone to prove me wrong on this, but the odds are that you are on your own here.
