The people you describe are hypocrites. They complain about corruption, crime, poorly enforced and strangely interpreted laws and regulations and then boast about how proud they are of themselves for taking advantage of the exact same things.

That's wrong.

I get that. But who decided that you should 'fix' it by grassing them up?

Not just grassing them up, but actively finding out as much as you can about them and their transgressions and then going out of your way to offer law enforcement officials an opportunity to extort money from them by reporting them.

You probably think you're some kind of hero.

You're not, you're just making yourself busy.

You're the sort of person who can't be trusted, someone who no-one can have a conversation with in case you decide they've done something you don't agree with, take their picture and toddle off to the immigration police to show them what a good boy you are by reporting them.

Honestly, you need a new hobby, and a way of dealing with your anger and resentment that doesn't involve hatching plans to gather evidence on other people in an attempt to piss on their chips just because you've decided that they deserve it because they don't match up to your standards.

I don't think much of reporting visa cheats, as far as social security cheats go well what go's round comes round,

But then again I paid over 30 years of taxes back in OZ but now because I live here it seems I can not get a aged pension (when the time comes) unless I go back too OZ and live as a pauper like so many of the older Aussies do now, also the Aust gov are still taxing me on my savings, also the land and water rates (taxes) on an empty house, the taxes (GST) on house and contents insurance and the sale agents and settlement GST taxes, so is it fair that the Aust government are still taxing me but absolve themselves of any support come the time I could get an aged pension???

I think I've more than paid my fair share as I worked in the mining game for years so my taxes were quite large

It's a shame for houses to lie empty when there's people in need of a home. Property taxes encourage the productive use of property, or encourage idle landlords to sell the property on to someone who will make better use of it.
