What’s going to happen to this pigeon? It’s officially a POW. Well, maybe there’ll be a prisoner swap—bird edition. -

Economy US Imposes 19% Tariff on Thailand in Major Trade Shift
This is one thing Trump does not understand. U.S. influence is on the skids around the world with many consumers shunning American products and buying less expensive alternatives or even doing without. Rising inflation without corresponding pay raises is taking its toll. -

Lazada verification now only by sms ?
I think you might be right - though I suspect there is a culture aspect to it... For example: I'm perfectly fine with using Spotify, Amazon and Banking Apps on my phone... they seem to be designed well and are not what I'd call 'noisy'... but Lazada and shopee etc have pop-ups and 'noise' I have to bypass before I can get into typing what I'm looking for - they are messy Apps IMO... Japanese-centric apps and websites are 10x worse which is odd given the minimalist nature of their culture in general. Then the age thing really comes in when using sites such as this forum - I much prefer not to read or type on my phone. The same with WhatsApp and Line Messaging - I'll respond on my laptop rather than deal with all the typing on my phone (it probably makes a difference that I can type extremely quickly on querty keyboard). -
