I have people planning to visit then, so would like to make sure they don't miss something if it's interesting to them. I thought the Royal Rajapruek usually has something at this time of the year; or maybe it's in January? I was there about a month ago and there was digging everywhere and the staff told us they were preparing for December. If the Mae Jo Festival is the 'real one' and by all accounts it should be this year as the official one has not occurred in 2 or 3 years now, then it doesn't matter when you go. It will be busy all day and night each day of the festival. They usually have a great Muay Thai the 1st day as well as a caravan of classic cars from Pratu Thapae to the University. The last night is always great for picking up plants cheap (but is very hectic and crowded). There has always been plenty of parking in the past.
