I taught my wife and highly recommend doing it yourself. It is a wonderful bonding experience and will give you a good idea where your relationship is heading.

There used to be a driving school at the corner of the eastern side of Chao Fah road west and the road that connects to Chao Fah road east close to where the hydroponic farm is (sorry, don't know the name of the road that connects the two Chao Fahs).

That road is called Tannon Kwang or literal translation is Road Middle or Middle Road for us Farang

Thanon Kwaang actually means road that crosses. You are geting confused with glaang which means middle.

Maybe the Land Transport Office has a list of accredited driving schools/instructors. You could try giving them a call.
