I don't know what you mean by " trapped " nerve. But nerve in arm is เส้นประสาทในแขน [ sen prasart nai khaen ]

I just know that I have asked for a translation of arm "asleep" due to nerve compression and lack of feeling as a result,

But, the three learned people, all Thai, who would know, do not know.

Maybe people don't think of arms being asleep in the same way I do.

But no translation have I found.

Hey mate - along with the explanations given, you might want to use the expression "chaa", which pertains to loss of feeling / numbness.

Khaen chaa = arm asleep / numb : (I suppose it might be a longish rising tone).

As an afternote - I suffered with a frozen arm / shoulder for ages - turned out to be something in my back and leg causing it - sciatic nerve cords run out through your legs and arms from your lumber regions.
