Maintenance cost of Volvo Thailand?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm thinking to get the V60, but really don't know the maintenance and the parts cost are expansive here or not. In my home country, Volvo cars are cheap but the car parts are as expansive as BENZ, BMW and AUDI. I have no idea if it's the same here. I don't want to have a car but can't afford the further cost! Need advice, TKS!

The same here, except they're not cheap to buy.

If you buy new, not an issue as the first 3 years is entirely maintenance free.

Thereafter, expect Euro prices for parts for the most part. Like with Mini, VW, Benz etc, there are mechanics around from Volvo's heydays of 10 years ago who will do cheaper servicing than using Volvo Thailand (usually cheaper by 30-40% and most of the mechanics are ex dealer mechanics who got all the training then went and set up themselves).

A taxi friend of mine who runs volvo's in BKK has had all the engine running gear changed to Toyota must tell you something.

Yep Toyota engines are dirt cheap....

Lots of Benz and BMW also have Toyota engines in them.

Thanks for you guys' opinion, I think I should stop dreaming of V60's fancy body, Go getting a Japanese car is more practical!
