Phone Insurance

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of any companies that offer phone insurance for loss / damage? My wife is considering the iphone 5c but we are worried if she looses the bloody thing lol

You need to be a bit realistic. Insurance companies exist to make money.

I buy insurance to cover the replacement cost of my phone if it's inexplicably "lost." After six months I get tired of it and want a new one in a different color. I "lose" it and the insurance company gives me the money to buy a replacement.

Spot any potential flaws in this scheme? Either the insurance company would go down in flames or they'd have to charge annual premiums in excess of the value of the phone just to stave off bankruptcy.

Insurance is useful to cover loss of things you financially can not afford to lose, like a car, your good health or your house.

If you can afford to buy an i-phone, don't bother. If you can't afford to buy an i-phone, don't bother.
