webfact
Pattaya Red Shirt Rally in South PattayaOn Thursday Night Pro-Thaksin Red Shirt’s from around the Eastern Seaboard gathered at a political rally in South Pattaya.PATTAYA: -- Due to the bad weather attendance was down from previous rallies held at the site at the corner of Soi Kaotalo on the Sukhumvit Road. Around 3,000 supporters attended and over 200 Police Officers were on-duty to ensure that law and order, along with traffic flow was maintained.Core Leaders of the Red Shirt Movement, which has close ties with the incumbent Phue Thai Political Party and its leader and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, were in attendance and the main topic of discussion centered on former Deputy Prime Minister and Democratic Party MP Khun Suthep who recently quit as an MP so he could join the fight against the controversial Amnesty Bill which he sees as an attempt by the government to allow safe passage back to Thailand for former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who remains in exile for now.Full story: http://www.pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/109037/pattaya-red-shirt-rally-south-pattaya/-- Pattaya One 2013-11-
