November 15, 201312 yr Hey all, I have just had a call off a friends mother in the Uk, My friend has come off his motorbike in phucket chalong/rawai area today and aparently has been taking to hospital in a bad way....I am trying to track him down to which hospital they will have first taken him, Does anyone know which hospital they are likely to take my english friend first off? I am not sure if he has insurance etc... any info would help I have tried to call a few phucket hospitals but it is hard as i do not speak any thai, Thanks,

November 15, 201312 yr You might also try Rungwawee Mansion, right across the street from Vachira on Yaowarat Road (just north of main entrance, opposite side of the road.) November 16, 201312 yr Most doctors at Wachira also work at these other hospitals. That hospital has improved tremendously over the past few years. As has the new orborjor hospital and other local health centers. Anyway, your friend is in good hands, OP. Have a safe trip.

Yes, I like Bangkok Phuket or Phuket International (Siriroj) better, more comfortable, but I would not call them better hospitals. If he prefers more comfort and has insurance both hospitals are good options, if not medically necessary I see no reason at all to move somebody to Bangkok.
