webfact Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Gimme my chicken: Hungry customer trashes restaurant, gets shotBy Coconuts BangkokHunger can make anyone cranky, but it’s usually not worth getting shot over.CHIANG MAI: -- Thirapong Hiranyossapol, a 41-year-old Bangkok resident, got shot in the stomach during a brawl with the owner of Midnight Chicken, a famous fried chicken restaurant in Chiang Mai.According to Tee Sae-ung, the 65-year-old restaurant owner who fired the shot, Thirapong and his friends came to his restaurant at 11pm last night and demanded he sell them sticky rice.As the name helpfully suggests, Midnight Chicken opens at midnight. Tee told his customers that the restaurant wasn't open and went back into his house. Maybe Thirapong's stomach couldn’t bear the hunger. He started the rampage and threw Tee's food tray on the floor. Tee heard noises and grabbed his .38 revolver and fired shots to make Thirapong go away. anon467367354 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 fired shots to make him go away but hit him in the stomach. They must think it's like on TV, a major shootout and nobody ever gets hit, not even the huge glass window behind them. 1

Lupatria Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 So, was he throwing a food tray, or trashing the restaurant one hour before it opened?

hanno Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Thailand. Almost #1 for murder percapita Come one Thailand, you can do it! Oft repeated on TV but just not tyre. Thailand ranks 100 something on the list according to UNODC. 1
Suradit69 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Thailand. Almost #1 for murder percapita Almost #1 for road deaths percapita Come one Thailand, you can do it! "Come one Thailand, you can do it!" "Around here it helps to breath [sic] before you bitch... " Your signature comment says it all. It's also a good idea to breathe or take a breath before you manufacture self-serving data. In any event, death rates per capita makes no sense. They might be stated per 100,000 population or something similar. No published rankings for murder or death by firearm puts Thailand anywhere remotely near number one.
super22k Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Guns.Guns.Guns.Thailand is third, after South Africa and Columbia for gun murders. In the UK you have to have a licence and ongoing police checks to own a gun.Guns .Guns.Guns. The man who invented the gun should be shot..Guns.Guns.Guns.

slipperylobster Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Makes me wonder how KFC has been serving chicken for so long, without a shot fired by the staff. However, if you do need to stop an attacker in his tracks, nothing does it better than a gut shot..... head shots are pretty iffy in a scuffly. Best to aim dead center. 1
uptheos Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 And this was BEFORE he maybe didn't get his small change.
Jubes Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Got a New motto. Eat lead instead. Although the chicken would taste better:)
Jim walker Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Come to Thailand we welcome all tourists shoot stab beat with baseball bat any way you like. 1
Bagwan Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Fortunately the wound was not fatal and he made it safely to the hospital, where hopefully he was fed. Unquote Death wish? Or just plain unvarnished stupidity?
slipperylobster Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I bet those hunger cramps stopped, all of a sudden-like. 1
phantomfiddler Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Great ad ! Chicken to die for Looks great, may your sales flourish ! 1
davejones Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Thailand. Almost #1 for murder percapita Almost #1 for road deaths percapita Come one Thailand, you can do it! Another stupid comment from someone who has no idea whatsoever of the facts. But why let that get in the way. Just a little education for you. Thailand isn't even in the top 100 for murder per capita. It has a rate of 4.8 per 100,000, slightly more than USA who are on 4.7. So USA is pretty much on a par when it comes to murder. United Kingdom 1.2 Australia 1.0 No. 4 for road deaths though. 1
thailandbeachisland Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Every restaurant is famous for Thai if their friends told them :-)

Andre0720 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Well, one more reason to open up a new KFC...
KuhnPaen Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 What is deescalation in Thai? Forget it..... Saying "jai yen yen" rarely works. If anything, it makes Thai people "Jai ron".
A1Str8 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I am not surprised. If there is something I have learned in Thailand it's this: don't look for trouble because you are going to find it.
alfieconn Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Does anyone know if the Restaurant is open tonight ?
