VAT refund in i-beat or i-studio stores !

Hi, does anybody know for sure if any of the above stores participate in the VAT refund for tourist scheme and would issue a P.P.10 form. I was in the i-beat store in Sakon Nakhon on Sunday but forgot to look.

Reason I ask, I was thinking of buying an i-pad air 32GB wi-fi only model before returning to the UK mid December. Here is my pricing ideas !!

Using exchange rate 51THB/UK £

i-pad 32GB UK = £479.00

i-pad 32GB Thailand 20,400 = £ 400.00

If VAT refund at 7% = 1428 THB saving or £28.00 bringing i-pad down to £372.00

So a saving of one hundred UK pounds, or am I being too greedy and should just settle for the saving of £79.00.

Regards

Keep in mind, VAT is 7% but VAT refund is not 7%.

Before, they used to refund all 7 percent, now it is more like 5.2 percent.

Bought iPhone 5s for 24,550 (no package price) and it says 16XX baht VAT on form but total refundable is 1280 baht. They'll cut another 100 baht from this or perhaps that cut is included.
