This is with respect to my wife's NON-B visa renewal, She holds a Non-B visa valid for 1 year with multiple entry.

Now her 1 year visa renewal date is due on February 2014 and since she is pregnant, she would like to travel back to India by January 1st week for her delivery (she will be on maternity leave).

My query is can her company renew her visa beforehand (in advance) i.e. somewhere in January 1st week or December 2013 last week, so that she can travel as planned.

In general how many days earlier we can renew NON-B visa.

Kindly share your inputs and help us in getting through it.

I assume she has an extension of stay she obtained at immigration with a multiple re-entry permit not a visa obtained from an embassy.

Normally a new extension can only be applied for 30 or 45 days (dependent on which office used). They though could make an exception due to her pregnancy.

But the other problem will be the renewal of her work permit. The work permit office might not do it that early.

First question, is your wife here on a 90 day border entry based on a Non Immigrant 'B' visa issued outside of Thailand, or is she here on a extension of permission to stay based on working in the Kindom of Thailand (issued by your local immigration dept)?

Her Work permit is already extended till Dec 2014.So we can extend her non-b visa with mutiple entry before 30 or 45 days - Chamchuri Square was used kast time.?

They are probably using the 45 day rule.

She does not have a visa it is an extension of stay. A visa only allows you to enter the country after that you are on a permit to stay.

My wife is on a 1 year extension of permission to stay based on working in the Kindom of Thailand.

Your wife is using the one stop centre; the WP would need to be renewed first. If the new extension is a one month conditional, then the remaining 11 months stamp would need to be entered into your wife's passport 30 days after the current extension of permission expiry date (i.e. she must be back in Thailand by then).

Don't forget to also apply for a new single re-entry permit to get back and then a multiple re-entry permit (if required) once the extension is granted for the balance of the year.

Good luck, hopefully they will consider her case for renewal at 45 days.
