Has anyone out there has experience with buying life insurance in Thailand for protection? e.g. which insurance agency, products, services, etc.

Protection from what? When your dead you don't need protection AFAIK. :o

i always believe if one is lying helpless on a hospital bed and having to worry if a 40k baht per month budget can afford one's health back and family has to pick up the bills when everything is done, then guess it would be better off living alone in the forest so there is no need to burden anyone.

In that case I would be looking into medical insurance rather than life insurance.
