A systematic examination of your symptoms and their history, probably accompanied by blood testing is the only definitive way to get a diagnosis and some treatment. Only things that come to my mind, assuming you are male, are dehydration/electrolyte imbalance and side effects of medications. Are you taking any meds? A blood count will indeed help determine if a bacterial or viral infection is present. Are you using air con at night? Nobody likes it but it appears to me that it is very important for you at this time because you need adequate rest. Don't ask me how I know.The brain processes all of the signals sent from the ears, mouth, etc. etc. and decides what they are. Depending on which lobe is affected, different strange things can happen. In my case, food tasted strange, music sounded out of tune, and I was dizzy and nauseated. Sometimes I didn't recognize familiar objects. Fortunately mine was non-malignant and called a meningioma.
