From when I first started living in this area of Thailand I am noticing many more westeners in these areas.

I was shopping and driving around Bang Bua Thong , Bang Yai and over to Thaiwatsuda today,

Was surprised how many westeners I seen , don't thing they are tourists in these areas,

With the sky train , in the area (not operational still under construction ) the less expensive living in the

area and easy access to most areas from here. I can get on the ring road to go south or north from here very

easily . And there is construction every we're . My wife and I were watching a Thai realistate show and they

They talked about how this area is growing so fast now and the price of realistate is going up just as fast

Just an observation of the area today ,,,

Like to here from others in area

Thanks

Girlfriend bought a house in Kunalai Village (Saothonglin) in 1999.

That was the first proper gated community between Bang Yai and Moo Ban Buathong.

It's still looking great nowadays because communal areas (swimming pool, fitness, gardens, drives away, sport courts) are still well maintained.

Main access road was still a rural way, but nowadays it is -nearly- a four ways express road.

We lived there in/out until last summer...

Then, she was able to sell it back four times the price she got it to UOB (without doing any major repairs after being under water for three months during flooding in 2011)

That is the same bank who did her mortgage who contact her...

Land & House are building down the road and their first tag price are an hefty eight millions.

So, yes indeed your wife is right...

Even the tiny condos (30 sqm) opposite "The Square" are selling nowadays for two millions... They were 2/3 years ago available for a mere six hundred thousand !!

Maybe you go to a different part of Bang Bua Thong ? I know of 1 single UK guy that lives there and someone that post on here with a family,

quess I go there once a week for past 10 years can never remember seeing anyone [live 12KM west of Bang Bua Thong ]

Bang Yai, yes often see others about, but not sure if more than 10 years ago......

House prices yes is nice they have gone up, and still going up, this house had build in 2003, and is valued last month a lot more

Yes roads are changing, when this house was build in the Village the road from the main road all the way up to San Noi was a dirt track,

1st tarmac was laid about 8 years ago, now for past few months have been making it much wider...

Appear every month a new field is filled, now so many houses, shops, and new projects springing up..

Houses or type of house nearer the main road that used to sell for around 1 million are now 3.5 - 6 million,

Town houses in projects that used to be 650 -800 k now start around 1.8 million up.

So not at all sure there is far more westerners out this way per Thais as there was 10 years ago, there are now far more people living out this way..
