December 16, 201312 yr I mucho fiddled about with this tree pic. Then made it a negative. I know not rocket science but it took ages. I must get a life .....
December 16, 201312 yr Sorry ... not sure (again) if this is abstract. But I like it and dont know what other category it could be. Let me know if I am off topic.
December 16, 201312 yr I agree abstract is a challenging concept but I think Tywais has defined the word properly.

December 20, 201312 yr 'Tis the season to be merry. It's an Xmas tree, shot out of focus. Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa app
December 20, 201312 yr I seem to be able to get a lot of shots out of focus too F R, but not on purpose. However, this came out, don't know if its abstract or if I just pushed the button at the wrong time. Sand waves.
December 20, 201312 yr Some excellent shots there ! This is going to make for a great read . I have just found this thread , been a little slow lately guys , Great works , keep it going
December 22, 201312 yr Question , Is abstract photography the actual first image taken , or can it be a manipulation ? I purposely changed the settings in my camera to achieve a different perception , that from the real image . If I were to take a real image , I mean an image that can be acknowledged and understood as an object , then manipulated it , would it be abstract ? Sorry if it is a bit of a mind-bender . OK , this a real object with a different camera setting to confuse those who view the outcome , There is some post edit , but minimal Help me THAIWAIS .
December 23, 201312 yr This must be my best one shot taken in 2004 and as is I call this one "The Three Kings" Please have a good Holiday folks. Win
December 23, 201312 yr Kan Win ..... Brilliant photos. Thanks for sharing. Goompa .. I like the last pic. EXCELLENT. Not sure about the others. Brings home to me that some at least of the photo HAS to be clear/in focus and that is the case in the final pic.

December 30, 201312 yr Probably most photographed fruit ever ever ever. My poke and hope software fiddling possibly makes it abstract.

December 30, 201312 yr Mod please remove if considered off subject. You've touched on something here that crossed my simple mind a couple of days back. Photography and the Arts. We don't have any art threads going. At all. I don't know enough about art to be able to start a thread on it, but perhaps and hopefully another member will. Although it would be good if it wasn't just Thai related.
December 31, 201312 yr ^ I don't see any thing wrong with it... at all... Pawneese... it's actually a good image... How many threads do we need! ? But perhaps we should a much as possible keep it to Thailand as much as possible, though?.... There is one thread already for non Thai stuff! Just my thoughts! Happy New Year everyone!

December 31, 201312 yr ^^ Rabbit, this is a great resource for figuring out which old glass is worthy . . . http://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/ http://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/ The first link is a little, how can I say it, Pentaxy. The second is useful, but because of flange distances I think there are a wider selection of lenses that you can stick on an M43 (i.e. almost anything). For a while I had an obsession with a thread of GETDPI titled "photographing your bokeh. It's now up to 103 pages http://www.getdpi.com/forum/4-3rds-cameras/10029-photographing-your-bokeh-103.html I have stopped visiting because I would see these amazing photos, and before I could stop myself I was on eBay purchasing all manner of obscurity. Most were cheap though, especially some of the C-mount lenses which were designed for security cameras and had average IQ but extreme bokeh. Then there was an Angenieux.... It's a filthy obsession.
