Fuel Comparison: Benzine 91, 95, Gasohol E10, E20

Featured Replies

Hi!

I just bought a Mitsubishi Attrage and I'm completely clueless about the different fuel types in Thailand.

I have the choice between four: Benzine 91, 95, Gasohol E10, E20.

I have noticed about a 3 baht price difference between some of them.

Which would you use?

There is no 91 benzine available now.

You can get Benzine 95, Gasohol 91/E10, 95/E10, 95/E20 and 95/E85.

What does your manual say about use?

Edit to add ..... Prices range from approx 24 baht for 95/E85 to approx 47 for Benzine 95.

From what I remember gasohol 95 or E20 are the recommended fuels for the attrage.

Use E20. There is not much performance advantage for using E10, and not much noticeable difference for economy. I've used both E10 and E20 in my swift and prefer E20 for the small cost savings.

The manual says i can use the 4 i mentioned above.

Thanks for all the opinions, i was thinking for going with E20, since it is the cheapest out of the the four, so long as it is not bad for performance or anything else.

Thanks again!

I have heard that E20 can cause engine problems by 100,000 km and most countries don't use anything as high as E20.

Has anyone had any problem by 100,000 km? or heard anything about this?
