If there is anyone out there that experinced the same bad service, lets hear from you.

So, let me tell you about the BAD service from Burger King here in Thailand.
1st of July 2013 at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, international departures...Burger King.
Burger King promoting double cheese burger set. When I ordered I was told..NO STOCK!
My second choice set meal..NO STOCK!
Really! International airport and an international franchise advertising meals they don't have.

Siam Paragon Mall, Bangkok, 10th of December 2013.
Ordered two set meals to the value of THB418. Meals were cold and french fries soggy.
My meal was so cold the cheese wasn't even melted.

Lodged a complaint to Burger King on Facebook as there is no official website for Burger King in Thailand as the receipt indicates. Site link has been grayed out.
I was given a number by some person from Burger King on Facebook to call...02-6819550
There is even a "survey Code" on the receipt. I wonder for what.....
Lodged a complaint about the terrible service and was told "we will get back to you as soon as possible". Famous last words that we all know too well. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. That was more than two weeks ago.
So, the bad and disgusting service continues.

I don't like McDonalds and prefer BK.
I wasn't cpmplaining about the price but the poor service.
For the amount that you pay for a burger at BK you expect top quality.
Unfortunately these "meals" are pre prepared and go cold and the fries soggy.

How?
Please feel free to read the original topic about Burger King in Thailand that I posted.
In the USA or Europe they would never get away with this kind of terrible service.
It's an international franchise and they should all follow the same code of ethics....even in Thailand.

It was a little jokette.

You've never had burger king in the UK by the sounds of it. thumbsup.gif

Hehehe..we all know about service and customer care in Thailand.

I have had BK in the UK before. Quite some time ago and it was in Guildford.
No problems smile.png
Maybe BK has deteriorated in the UK now...?

On my way back home at lunch time I stopped at a drive thru at McDonalds for lunch. To my surprise they told me no friend fries. I couldn't stop laughing. I told the girl that's like going to a Thai restaurant and being told sorry no have rice today.

If you wish to complain suggest you contact Minor Food Group who, I believe, are the franchise holders for Thailand ( they also do Sizzler, Dairy Queen, Swensens as well as their own The Pizza Co)

For any chain Burger place in Thailand I cannot see any association with 'top quality' or 'treat' and as for company code of ethics here you must be joking.

Hahaha..that is nothing unusual ...
I went to Top Charoen and KT Optic to order new contact lenses....
No have....
I mean really...and optical shop with no contact lenses..
They just don't care and are too lazy to make some kind of effort to go the extra mile.

ThaidDown....
You are correct...
Just annoying at times for them to eagerly accept your money but give crappy service.

Thanks for the info...I'll try and get in touch with them.

Both Burger King and McDonalds are different from the West in that after putting the cheese on the patty, they don't then zap it quickly in the microwave.

The buns are also much less toasted.

These are done to cater for Thai tastes, and done across the board at all Thai McDonalds and BK. It isn't a case of the staff doing it wrong.

I should add that they are also far less likely to have burgers waiting in the shoot as they much prefer to cook on order, compared to the West.

Fast food is becoming more and more popular because of the western exposure. Also, for a Thai guy to take his lady to for instance KFC is showing he is not a cheapskate and has money to spend. This all to impress the lady and show he has money, instead of taking her for a cheap Thai meal of 30 or 40THB.

These burgers we had were pre prepared...
Therefore the soggy fries and cold burgers.

To cut a long story short...service and customer care sucks here. They just don't care.
We live here so it is expected of us to accept the crappy service with the rest of the Thai people.
Thais as a rule never complain because it gets frowned upon.

It was a long time ago that I was in Europe and the USA.
Obviously many things have changed looking at some of the posts here.

we are guests in this country and have to accept the way of life here by jumping up and down expecting better service just makes the people of Thailand look at us with less respect you cannot change this country as it is what it is maybe one day it will change but not in my lifetime one of their favourite saying is Jai Yen Yen

Sorry, certain things are unacceptable. Especially if we are paying for that service.
Anyway, this is not an arguement. It is a gripe against Burger King's shoddy service in Thailand and not dirercted at the Thai nation or country.
