Since mid 2009 it gets better and better every year, roll on 2014.

Financial freedom and still have the most amazing wife

Nothing to complain about. My wife and I still love each other after all these years. Our son graduated from college, married a wonderful girl, and landed a great job. I survived and recuperated from a potentially disastrous accident, we all still are in good health and liviing is still a blast. My condolences to all of you who cannot make similar statements. Best wishes to you for a great new year.

What has 2013 brought me?

Worsening health, less money, more fat, less hair, worse vision ( had to buy stronger glasses ), less sex.

13 really is an unlucky number.

I forgot to include worsening relations with the Thai relies. Got to the stage where they don't come around anymore ( though perhaps that's not such a bad thing ). Doesn't make my wife happy though, and when my wife's not happy................................ .

Finally binned the cigarettes and crappy diet, blitzed the gym and went from 88 to 79.5kg

Apart from a few aches, my health remains solid . . . for now

Still got all my hair

Value of my precious metals holdings got battered

Value of various equities soared

Continued to successfully swerve marriage

Continued to successfully swerve kids

Added 2 delightful new gikships

All told, not a bad year at all

Plenty of TV Holidays.

A new secretary, the first truly efficient one I've had in 20 years....A chance to get to know Southern Thailand well, a region I'd never been too interested in before...The chance to arse about in Burma plenty on expenses.....the less said about the episode of my "performance farting", which fell rather flat resulting in a long lecture from the wife; combined with plenty of hard stares (Like what Paddington Bear done) and long difficult silences, the better.
