Drivers warned of dangers of booze, fatigue

I drive slow in cities, and like to stop to allow pedestrians to cross (a weird habit I kept from California). However, it can be dangerous, as Thai motorcyclists will automatically zip around - so pedestrians who are lured (by me) to crossing in front of my stopped car - may be zapped by impatient/unthinking motor cyclists. Thais drive like they speak: speedy, interrupting, impatient.

A joke: A guy is driving with a friend. The guy speeds thru a red light. The friend says; What are you doing?! you just went through a red light. Driver says; "no problem, my brother does it all the time." Same happens again at the next major intersection. Then the driver sees a green light and slows to a stop. The friend says, "What are you doing? A green light means 'GO,' why are you stopping?!"

Driver says: "My brother might be coming the other way."
