Pattayarossoblu Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I would like to visit this Malaysian Island.I will take a flight from Cm to Hat Yai.Once there any suggestion how i can reach the place?By train,by car...not by plane cause really expensive. Thanks for any reply.
keestha Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 From Hadyai take a bus to Sungai Golok, which is at the border, at the Malaysian side take a bus to Kota Bahru which is close to the pier for going to these islands.
Pattayarossoblu Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Could you think gonna has problem about bombs or these things?
phetphet Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Several years ago, we took the early morning train from Hat Yai to Sungai Kolok, crossed the border, then bus / taxi to Kota Bharu as stated above. You could possibly also fly to KL then on to Khota Bharu, but am not sure.
asanee Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 FIRST think about this: Timing. Perh. is about as good as closed during the current Thai dry season. Read any better travelforum as this. You have the choice of 2 routes: via TH-as above, either bus or train are as good, this will require nerves and a thorough knowledge of what is gong on there. OR via MY: either train, bus or van to Butterworth (across from penang) and then overnite bus to KB-there may even-in the correct season, be a through bas ekspres to the port. Details in any guidebook. But in that case you had much better taken the flite Cmai-KUL on AA
phetphet Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 asanee is correct. We went in the middle of the month of February and the resort where we stayed (Perhentian Island Resort), had only just opened.
