Where are they buying the airline, ebay?

More importantly, where did they get the money from?? it costs millions to set up an airline !

Definitely cost more than the 11 million she has, of which 9 million is debt.

Won't last long

From terrorist who burned down the city to airline owner. Oh how nice to be a Shinawatra crony!

Another rubbish post. Thai Air Asia was in part owned by the Shinawatra clan already and it is the most successful airline in Thailand in terms of LCC.

So Tony Fernandez of Air Asia is a Shinawatra crony.

Do you really think that the Shinawatra Group wants to invest in an Air Banuk venture with Arisman on board? You should research a bid further that the Shinawatra Group only invest in companies which have a track record and top management.

Arisman by the way is a Musician and would do better by setting up a company to compete against Grammy and RT and forget about his airline business.

Possibly the finance is coming from the money his him and his Mrs scammed buying rice, as revealed by the Dems in the censure debate.

Yes lets look at those allegations shall we? Ready, according to the dem MP Warong

A certain Mr.Ratthanit, who is advisor to Arismans wife who is an MP, appointed a Mr. Nimol to buy rice for export to China. Now this Mr Nimol apparently has "connections" (not detailed by Warong) with executives of Siam Indica which is an associated firm of President Agri Trading Company (with me so far?) which faced financial difficulties in 2007 and was accused (no charges made) of fraud back in 2007.

And the key proof as to why this convoluted accusation was made by MP Warong?

Apparently Mr Ratthanit (remember him?) has a house which is very old and his bank account has little money in it so why would a Chinese firm appoint him as an authorised rep?

I kid you not.

Perhaps Mr Arisman (remember him?) has links with Chinese businessmen, as evidenced by this airline venture, and put the word forward for his wifes advisor.

Perhaps you can post all the denials from the aforementioned parties?

The case is still with the NACC

So she has about 60k USD? Might be able to buy a 1972 Cessna 152 two seater with that much cash.
Thai Airways were trying to sell some planes a while back. Since it's government owned maybe they got a very good deal on those.

Your telling me they can start up an airline here in Thailand with less than a half million dollars in total assets?

You have to have a hell of a lot of juice to pull that off. Is this how they are planning to launder the money they

skim after getting rid of Yingluck. I find it hard to believe anyone could start an airline with just over a 100 thousand

cash in the bank. Not sure you could do is start a company with a couple of old Cessna 172's with that amount of money.

Not sure you could even fuel a full size jet if someone gave it to you. blink.png

Is he setting this up, to evacuate all of his other cronies when the excrement hits the fan?

Given his declared finances, money must be coming from elsewhere....

There are still airworthy Dakota's around for sale. land and refuel where ?????

True, but as an evacuation shute cannot be fitted, the DC3 cannot be used for passenger traffic even though the door is only 3 feet off the ground. I believe they will, initially, be using Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft.

Edited to remove out of date information.

I'm sorry I meant to put a smiley on the end of my post. because of the age/price was assuming he only had money for themgiggle.gif

Might be a good plane to use the DC3...Was in new guinea returning from Sohano to Rabaul many years ago and they were taking back some indentured labour. Nice guys straight from the village. Got a bit cold at 5000 feet so no problem caught them setting a fire up in the back of the plane to keep warm. They were quite upset when I squirted it out.

May suit their firelighting capabilities.

It would certainly seems that there are numerous questions to be asked and answered regarding the actual main shareholder(s) of this set up, The financial backers and the actual ability along with the experience of the management team to operate an airline in a competent manner. Licences where from, how and when granted?

The whole matter reeks of dirty money, corrupt practices and indeed a future airplane disaster just waiting to happen. Run by criminals and no doubt financed by criminals.

One wonders just how the families of those Red Shirt pawns and those pawns themselves still languishing in prison must feel upon seeing the total ignoring of their situation and the blatant self promotionand self enrichment of yet another Thaksin acolyte at the expense of the Red Shirt pawns who died, were injured and languish in prison.

Indeed a fine lesson in how Thaksin and his brown nosing acolytes actually cared and still care for their Red Shirt followers.

I just had an ugly mental picture of Jatuporn serving drinks in a short skirt,

Yingluck announcing the safety instructions in her bargirl English and you got a real "mental airline".

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out where I'd heard someone speak English the way Yingluck does. It was Soi Cowboy!!

Its good to see them keeping their pre-election campaign promises about enriching the lives of agrarian workers, and reforming the infrastructure for the poorest people in Thailand, while destroying the hi-so elite types, like for example owners of airline companies.
