Policeman apprehended with gun, 'ice' drug at Rajdamnoen rally site to be fired

What??? Not promoted to an inactive post???

Punishments to government officials and police for misconduct are more serious near election time.

The Ministry of inactive posts is presumably under siege along with everywhere else.

the yellow shit "security officers" probably planted the gun and the amphetamines on him... but ... whatever.

He was checked for drugs by his own colleagues and found positive.

Being fired ! If the little dork had drugs then he should be dishonorably discharged and prosecuted and sentenced for possession of a class 1 narcotic. .. or are the RTP above the law.

Does anyone have a problem with private security officers, regardless of whom their employer is, arresting anyone at gun point? Is this allowed under Thailand law? PDRC having their own armed security on public property at public events seems oddly reminiscent of Hitler's Brown Shirts.

Was he in uniform at the time, or "off duty"?

After he parked his motorcycle in the wrong place, rally security removed it. He go upset when they wouldn't return it and that's when he told them he was a policeman and threatened to draw his gun. At this point he was arrested and searched by rally security and when they found his gun and ya ice, they took him to a nearby police station.

That he had to announce he was a police officer makes me think he was not in uniform which begs the question of why he was there since he had no official business there.

Thanks for clarifying.

One would have thought that all Police would have been warned to be very careful in and around protest areas for fears of inflaming the situation.

Did they also plant crystal meth in his urine drug screen?

Seriously, if you're going to defend bent policemen, you need to try a whole lot harder.

It wouldn't be the first time that they loose the evidence, than after 2 weeks (filling him up with Vitamin C) they retest him, don't find anything. Coincidentally he shaved his head (so no hair to test). New test is negative.

So everything was just a misunderstanding.

If that sounds impossible, than you aren't long enough in Thailand.

Where does it say he was arrested at GUN POINT ?

Where does it say the security guards were armed ?

Another stupid red making things up as he goes along.

The reason they need security is because they have been attacked before with some of them killed even, and because of loonies like the cop in question.

If you look back you will find he is not the first, there was another armed intruder who was 'escorted' out and handed over to the police.

not forgetting the big mouthed red-loving journo', who some time back was roughed up a bit and also 'escorted' out of the area.
