NanLaew
Yes - jam packed with naked girls being groped by elderly Japanese businessmen. Used to have good live music on the top floor - but that seems to be finished to make way for more naked girls.Excuse me? I am NOT Japanese!!! And whenever are there not enough naked girls?
Chicken George
Not been to Bangers for a while. When the civil unrest war protest bloodbath is over may take a gander down that way. Happy hols.
wirat69
Dusit Zoo is very nice. ..... and Vimanmek Palace is right next door, the Golden Teak Palace that housed King Chulalongkorn, his wives and children That's if he really wants an experience never to forget [as whiskey, beer and women are so easily forgotten when blind p*ssed!]
Toscano
I don't know what your friend really likes . My sister and husband were entertained by dear friends , the husband a foreign consul . Through his knowledgeable Thai connections , they were taken to amazing sex shows only known about by Thais . My sister described to me sitting beside a beautiful young couple making love , she said " The girl held onto my ankle to steady herself ". She said it beat everything Patpong or Nana have to offer .
frimu
What kind of adventure? If he likes some action once in a while then wait until the 13th of January and go to Victory Monument while wearing a tshirt with Thaksin's face on it. Both of you are going to have the adventure of your life. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app You mean: They are going to have the LAST adventure of their life. To the one who asked - My suggestion: At one of the PATPONG sois on the Sala Daeng site there is an SM bar close ot that Blue something Gogo. Entry fee 800 Baht per person. If you give a good tip, some ladies will whip your friend. I call that an adventure! :-)
comtedeperigord1
Maggie Choo's under the Novotel in Silom ..... very different (if a bit pretentious). "Secret" 1930's prohibition era Shanghai bar located off a 1930's Shanghai noodle bar with girls in Chinese silk dresses on swings and cool jazz band. Bangkok Betty's - Holiday Inn Sukhumvit - 1950's atomic bomb factory with pin up girls. Titanium is opposite - so you can walk over the road as the all-girl band is good in this bar. Crazy House - around the corner from Cowboy ..... it's erm ....... crazy ..... but not much fun. Estrada
Long Gun Bar - Soi Cowboy. Famous among ex-pats the world over. For a real adventure, he won't forget, take him on a white knuckle ride in a pink taxi on any road or expressway in Bangkok (Adult Nappies/Diapers optional). Ghostnigel
Put on a couple of Red shirts, and go find a Yellow camp, you'll get ALL the 'buzz' you need, and more. He might just miss his flight home though!!

Also Suzi Wong on Cowboy, where the computerized tabs are a plus. For another adventure take the motorbike taxi from outside Cowboy to Nana, where they can open it up on Sukhumvit. Get a motorbike from the stand on Sukhumvit for a more reasonable price. Let me know if you want company.
risky11
for something traditional, try Jim Thompson House. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g293916-d447276-Reviews-Jim_Thompson_House-Bangkok.html
Benmart
To the OP. Moderation in drink and other activities is suggested. A good time, in my opinion, is returning to your hotel with all faculties intact, no urethral burning/oozing lesions after the incubation period and no arrest stories to explain when your friend gets home. The media is awash with stories of visitors that have had less than a memorable experience in pursuit of the adventure of a life time. Other than that, have fun, stay safe and I look forward to a trip report.

manarak
Had this question been asked several years ago, there might have been some good answers. Sadly, our best option now is a walk through Terminal 21 or any of the other massive shopping centers that are taking over the city. what a sad post. there are several things to do: - the gory museum of forensics at siriraj hospital - tuptim shrine - a temple with wooden cocks of all sizes everywhere, a bit difficult to find http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chao_Mae_Tuptim_shrine - a walk through the Khlong Toei slum - the largest restaurant in the world "dragon inn" - chatuchak market - there is a sky bar with a breathtaking view at the top of one of the towers - a visit to dream world entertainment park - a boat tour on the chao praya ... Posting a list of potentially tedious things to do the day after he wanted to do them is probably even sadder. Not much of a "wow" factor in any of them so. The walk through the slum sounds particularly pleasant though.

Bangkok has become quite boring, nothing nearly as much fun and adventure as 10 years ago.....but I don't live in the big city anymore to dig out the good stuff...
