BANGKOK: -- Red-shirt followers in the Northeast have set up a 500,000-baht bounty for the arrest of protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban.

The bounty came from donations from Rak Udon, Rak Yingluck-Thaksin groups and other red-shirt followers from northeastern provinces.

As the People’s Democratic Reform Committee staged Bangkok Shutdown operation to close down the capital on Monday, the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship staged rallies in several northeastern provinces.

In Khon Kaen, caretaker Deputy Commerce Minister Natthawut Saikua led about 5,000 red-shirt followers in a counter-protest march throughout the provincial township.

Mr Thanik Maseepitak, red-shirt co-leader in the Northeast, said that Udon Thani and Khon Kaen would be the UDD’s centres to prepare election campaigns to urge voters in the region to go to the polls on February 2.

In Prachin Buri, about 200 red-shirt followers, donning white shirts, joined a car rally followed by a protest march.

Easy money! He's hardly bin laden is he!

Easy money?

Yeah very easy to just walk into a crowd of thousands and thousands of angry protesters, slap a pair of cuffs on him and walk him into the police station.

Bin Laded hid in dirt, Suthep is hiding in crowds

I agree, this is old news......so they managed to collect 1Baht from each Red supporter to make up the sum.

I didn't know that reds have so many supporters!crying.gif

Perhaps the money would be better spent paying it as a bounty to get the commerce Minister to pay the Farmers their money on the 15th.

Good idea GJ, if only B500,000 was what the government owed. Trouble is it's immensely more than that. These Udon jokers ought to donate the money to Kittirat's kitty for the farmers.

Plus, apparently the 15th has now been extended to the 25th?

So many toys have been thrown out of the pram now, I am starting to see it as a TARDIS pram, with some sort of quantum space / distributed-cluster-algebra powered interior. It looks like any other old pram on the outside, but more toys just keep flying out of it endlessly. Where's my block-transfer mathematics book, this requires further investigation.

well then, show us all how big your balls are, go and get him or are you just another mouth piece, yeh, easy money, you are a joke.

Yes I'm a mouthpiece! It's the one thing I have in common with Suthep!

Next it will be posters hanging up around Thailand highlighting "Wanted. Dead or Alive"with a pic of Suthep below it. Maybe 20 paces at dawn with tear gas and water cannons will be a PTP request? Or my favorite from the Western movie, Silverado "We're gonna give you a fair trial, followed by a first class hanging." And going by Jatuporn's quotes in the past, I am sure it is close to the UDD paramilitary leaders mind.
