That could be the case.

But the setbacks in Africa are especially distasteful when you realize some have been inspired by AMERICAN anti-gay Christian religious groups who are exporting their hate messages because they have lost politically at home.

It's now clear that this is indeed Islamists targetting gay men. The 12 men are being tried by a Shariah court (not under secular law) and are facing being stoned to death.

"Evil" as defined by the colonialists? Or was homosexuality already considered "evil" by all the tribal religions?

having spent years in Africa i can confirm that homophobia is a century old African "tradition" and not imported by the colonialists.
