Somewhere Nice For Honeymoon

I had the Buddha wedding last year but have to go through the Amphur Wedding in July for her visa to wherever we end up next (UK, Switzerland or more likely Singapore).

Now I am going to have a last week or so away with the lads to say goodbye to my "Playboy" days as she calls them but I have promised her a few days away in a nice resort in either Samui or Chang before we head off to Singapore or go through the visa process elsewhere.

Any reccomendations for 5 days away somewhere nice?

Would prefer around 100 Euro a night but will go up to 150 Euro

Not Samui! .... why not Krabi?

I second Krabi, the Ao Nang beach is really nice romantic sunsets on the beach, limestones and you can plan activities for five days (climbing, kayaking, snorkling, diving etc).

Samui for me is more of a party place than a romantic place.

google pinkroseholidays (park of Bangkok Airways) for some easy plug and play trips usually paired up with fairly nice resorts for both Samui and Koh Chang (flying into Trat).

Krabi sounds a good idea

The reason I saif islands in the Gulf though and not the Andaman was the time of year - July - is it not monsoon time on that side of the Isthmus?

If the weather was OK I would certainly look into it as I have not been there myself yet.

Samui can be quiet though away from the centre of Chaweng - I was looking at the Imperial Boat House as I remember them from my first holiday there in 95 when I was staying at a 150THB a night guest house.

I will also look at Pink Rose Holidays as well for Samui and anywhere else they do.

Koh Chang isn't the best bet.Still a lot of rain and storms then,though you can be lucky.Check out :www.iamkohchang.com for places to stay and general island information.

I always thought the Gulf was the best option at that time?

I know the site you are referring to thanks for reminding me to take a look as I had forgotten - it has the most honest hotel reviews of the lot for Chang.

Latest thing is she has just told me to book somewhere and surprise her at the airport - this could be a good or bad thing

Not only is it our honeymoon before a big change in career, life and locations its her 21st - the pressure is now on me
