Protesters demand prompt and fair probe by police

LOL at Sutheps crocodile tears. This is the same guy indicted for the murder of 90+ protesters a few years ago. He wants his coup, he wants chaos, he wants rivers of blood.

Cut that nonsense short. The blame for deaths in 2010 is evenly spread. How many times we need to say for the sake of objectivity that 90+ were not all protesters. Some of them were soldiers, some of them were police officers, some of them were journalists, some of them were innocent bystanders, some of the protesters were clearly killed by MiB...etc...etc...Stop trolling and educate yourself a bit on the matter.

Perhaps the mob should let the police do their jobs in other respects, such as keeping the streets clear for public access ,but maybe these goons dont believe thats"fair" Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

The police had full access until a few days ago (13/01/14)!

Now enough is enough!

few quotes from Sathit Wongnongtoey's, " I can understand why the bombing might be convenient for the PDRC... "

"Peaceful movements limit our strategies..." "Yingluck.. will wait for demonstrators to become tired"

"Suthep keeps encouraging demonstrators to fight..."

" The game will end faster if...soldiers side with the people ... If the government deals violently with demonstrators. "

This guy also very conveniently had his house shot up!!! Few Dems received very shady looking petrol bombs and bullets. More than possible he could have shot his own front door then screamed COUP!!

Complaining that peacsful demostrations limit them.... then his house is shot at? Hmmmmmmm

Lot of Dems "Ex" drivers involved here. they videod another one last month lobbing a bomb. Politicians drivers are armed and trained personal guards as well.....

Sumary. This is the Second Democrat politicians driver to be susupected . The first one was beyond doubt and they had him on CCTV. Few Hardline Dems who see the demo needs a boost have their houses shot at or petrol bombed. made sure they didn't damage anything with the 3 petrol bombs though didn't they.

So

are you saying they should have investigated the crime scene before the incident?

Or are you still saying that the police did it in such a shoddy way, on a road they didn't know they were marching on all the while with a pile of toy guns, police ID and Red Hats.

Watch my lips.... Only a few PDRC supporters think this wasn't an inside job. So once again they are in a tiny minority!!!! Which is where they will stay with views as exreme as theres

The representative of Human Rights Watch in Thailand criticised the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) for displaying bias against the Redshirts and downplaying the heavy-handed tactics of the authorities in its report on 2010 political unrests.........................Mr. Sunai Phasuk, the senior researcher for the Thailand′s chapter of the Human Right Watch, said that the NHRC should strive to be an independent organization, and should not present such a "biased" report against any party involved in the 2010 violence, particularly the UDD and its supporters. Mr. Sunai believed that the NHRC report is flawed because its authors did not apply the same standard when they assessed the actions of the government and the Redshirts. Other critics and activists have voiced similar displeasure at the NHRC report http://www.khaosod.co.th/en/view_newsonline.php?newsid=TVRNM05qSXpOVGN4TWc9PQ==&sectionid=TURNd01BPT0=

On Friday, a grenade was indiscriminately thrown from the third floor of an abandoned building to the people below, killing a taxi driver and injuring dozens of others. The police and army scrambled to the room, found an army of weapons, and posed with these weapons in front of press photographers. Thirty minutes later, the administration made a public announcement that expressed rage towards the protesters, and threatened retaliation towards anyone who were taking part in them, anyone who sympathized with them, with the threat extending to their extended families. No mention of the bomb attack which shocked the country and targeted Thai citizens was made. The photo was rushed to the press, and printed around the world. Two days later, many claim that the weapons the police were posing with - apparently unbeknownst to themselves - were toys. A new line was adopted that the protesters themselves had perpetrated this attack on themselves - a line that was instantly adopted with relief by the supporters of the administration - who are clearly so desperate they will risk looking ridiculous - now assures us all that there is nothing to worry about - the world is indeed flat.

So the political divide in this country is apparently so potently strong, that there are those who have witnessed what happened, and those that refuse to. Is it any wonder that - during the Nuremberg trials - when the videos were shown in court - Goring turned his head away and refused to look. Many today still refuse to look. And many here today are refusing to look as well.

I would like to see Suthep explain the video where it appears like the driver of thr pickup truck throws something out of the window and that something explodes a second later. Prior to that, the pickup truck also stops even though everyone else in the group, both walking and driving, are still moving.

To my best knowledge the type of grenade used, type RGD-5, have a fuse time of 4.4 to 5 seconds.

So the guy in the car must be very cool blooded and take out the pin and count 4 seconds down and trow it out or someone else trowed it between the 4.4 and 5 seconds before the detonation.

I also think that the clip shown is not clear enough to see what is really happening prior to the detonation.

Clearly the protest organizers need to"ramp up" their tactics if getting no results after week by occupying streets and screwing business .Time will tell if they have new strategy or this is a new strategy.

Nope, no flag. The flag guy walks away a few seconds before and then something is thrown out of the pickup truck.

This video will be the downfall of Suthep.

You need glasses. Watch the guy waving the flag on the left, follow the arc of it as it moves towards the truck just before the explosion. It's a flag, nothing more.

No point arguing with these lot, they have made up their minds, and with no evidence whatsoever. Even logic is totally against them, but their red tinted glasses will not let any logic, reason and even complete black and white evidence to get through.

They have made up their minds that every casualty during the entire uprising will have been orchestrated by Suthep.

This has been fuelled by their utter contempt and loathing for someone who wants to improve Thailand, and they just don't want improvement. They want it to remain a retarded nation of retarded people, because it is the only thing that makes THEM look better.

How to make an ugly person look good... put him in a room with even uglier people.

"BANGKOK: -- Protest leaders yesterday demanded that police conduct a fair and speedy investigation into Friday's grenade attack."

what a bunch of loonies! So after they prevented the police to enter for several hours, trampled all over the evidence, destroyed any forensic evidence there might have been - they "demand" that police conducts a fair and speedy investigation??

Suthep wanted with arrest warrant is "demanding" something from the police?

What is wrong with these people? Somewhere there must be a big screw loose!

w00t.gif

But it's not at all hypocritical for the Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong to ask for the Bangkok Governor to be arrested, whilst having been convicted himself, been sentenced to 1 year in jail and he's still running around making statements calling for others arrests? Clean up your own house first before asking for arrests for others why don't you.

Based on the current police investigation, this "grenade" attack appears to be a self-inflicted attack with intention to blame PTP membership. So on the one hand while Suthep demands a quick police investigation, his supporters insured a crime scene so disrupted and secured from police investigation that no blame can be legally laid by the police. But that doesn't stop Suthep to desparately claim being attacked by PTP so that the EC/military will suspend the elections.

I am no fan of Suthep, and I do think he had the most to gain from this bomb attack (just sacrificing a pawn)

but I don't see this video as some smoking gun that many TV readers see. Inconclusive and most. Just a video

of a tragic event. Shows nothing conclusively. coffee1.gif

It certainly does not look like an actual grenade being thrown out the window, maybe a weak IED. And where does the driver leg it too? That's not the reaction of someone supprised. No shock effect at all, This all seems very suspicious.

Of course, someone might hope this all gets hyped up and turns attention away from other interesting events - like NACC probes.
