i think my thoughts are pretty clear on the other thread, i vote for being bored of Thailand. I dont really want to turn back time as I have enjoyed much of my stay, and love the missus. But if you moved me to another country I wouldnt be kicking and screaming (depending on the country tongue.png ).

I dont care what other peoples opinion of this place is, and Im sure that they dont care what my opinion of this place is either. Having said that, some people will still post just to keep you happy Imfao.

I have had to move back to the UK as my minuscule business needs turning around due to the economy and all that.

I would give my right arm to wake up in Thailand again, Thailand for me feels like home after so many years, I will be back, if only for my sanity. You do feel a percent Thai when you live there. However you do get the buddha chain expat or the steak and chips expat. Thailand is for me though with me having a healthy mix of the two examples.

Anyone got a job ;)

I'm not sure if it's "the dream" but it's a lot nicer living here than in the UK. Until the civil war starts, of course.

Yes civil war in the UK is immanent. vote UKIP .

Living here suits me, my only drawback, is the ''Driving Standards' apart from that i am happy......

cheesy.gifDriving ? cheesy.gif

Here is no such thing as driving! It is more like this:

[watch the thai (?) girl at 1:07 she is NOT speaking into her mobile. So not 100% correct]

It is better living here than the nanny state .The nanny state ......dont do this , give me more tax , here is your fine for going 4 km over the speed limit . you are not paying enough tax etc etc etc .

I'd agree with most of that but I'd say it's more akin to blatant institutionalized, state-sponsored theft than symptomatic of the nanny state

The nanny state is what saves your arse when that illness your medical insurance doesn't cover requires an operation to prevent it killing you.

At least here, 9 times out of 10, if you get ripped off, it goes to Somchai the motorbike taxi rider or the noodle stall; back home, it goes to any of a number of central and/or local government agencies.

The tossers even have targets, <deleted>.

I am living the dream here and that's without a matrimonial slave to iron my undies, cook a daily coronary-on-a-plate full English breakfast, place After Eight mints on my pillow, tweeze my bum fluff and scatter rose petals in front of me as I move through the apartment.laugh.png

I am happy with my life here. Enough pension to be able to have a comfortable lifestyle that I would not be able to afford in the USA. No more living from paycheck to paycheck as monthly bills and spiraling costs of living make saving virtually impossible. No more stress from a job that expects more and more output from its employees as benefits are slowly reduced.

I am happy to be alive and free here.
