Ask for teak oil, I think it is the same thing...

There's a big difference between Teak and Linseed oil, both in application and price. Linseed is a much heavier oil that Teak and is usually mixed with Turpentine for application to timber.

Probably a long shot, but try asking around the smaller (local) sports shops. If I'm not mistaken, linseed oil is used on cricket bats (just don't mention the English cricket team!).

+1 for Silpaban. I'm pretty sure I saw some there a couple of weeks ago, in amongst the paints.

Linseed oil is made from a plant. It has many uses. Great stuff - I could get off on the smell of it. It was used to mix into animal feeds. Suggestion - try to find a craftsman cabinet maker, or a specialist woodworker, they use it to treat wood and make polish.

I hate to admit defeat, but you got me this time Pat. I know you're one of them but I can't quite figure out which one. Which one are you - Statler or Waldorf?
