Thailand's flying snakes - science video

The "paradise tree snake" or Chrysopelea paradisi, found in the forested parts of Thailand, doesn't actually fly, but it does have a pretty good handle on the controlled glide. The snakes launch themselves off of trees and undulate in midair. From a 33-foot-high jump the snakes can cover another 33 feet of distance.

I have seen one that looked like one in Pattaya, it fell out of a tree opposite the police station on beach road. It just climbed back up again , people just stood back and watched it.
