OK. Otherwise no point in researching questions if guys just use new fangled phones.

Audi was Auto Union so I think Auto Union not Audi as such.

Suzuki was 6th, Subaru make what 9? or 8?

There is also the Bond Mini car but it only has three wheels so classed as a motorbike and side-car.

"Subaru make what 9? or 8?".

Does the number produced affect whether the engine was a 2- or 4-stroke? A few more than you suggest, almost 400,000, to be imprecise.

I though id nailed it with the tiny Honda Sports-car, but our Car Wash German expert said it was a 4 Stroke. You can confer if its Pub Quiz style. M. Marlow are you trying to take my Crown for muddled posts.facepalm.gif

Austin Healey.

I forgot about that one, but that one was purely a joint sports car venture, there are two marks that were used on a variety of rides mainly due too trim or looks but defunked now. . smile.png

We all remember tappet adjustment sad.png . One of the greatest engine developments was the hydraulic lifter, or tappet. Did away with all that regular crap.

But when do you think it was thought of and used in a production car. ?

Noooooooo googles, Just take a guess..............smile.png

It's quite an interesting question, as manufacturers are reverting back to adjustable/shim type tappets. My friends (2) both have new Toyota's: a Vios and an Altis. They rattle like F@@K hot and cold.

We all know the UK Mini, not the German thingy. Had badges, Austin, Morris, Cooper, but they had two other names not related to the fore mentioned. What were the names ?

Both cars were "3 box" design and the Elf had twin carbs.
