texanaust
I want to get a teak breeze door installed over my existing door at my condo. The management offered to quote their guy and gave me a price of 12,600bht. That includes the frame, new door, installation, staining and door locks. Does that seem to be a fair price? The door and frame are 4,600 and 1,000 respectively. The rest is labor, staining and door locks. Any advice would be appreciated!

mogandave
It depends on how it looks, the quality of the locks and the finish. I would rather spend more and be sure of getting a nice door, well huh, nicely hung door than take a chance on some nut-sack making a mess of things. Jingthing
If someone knows a good (and reasonable) contractor who can handle this, soup to nuts, please post contact info, or PM. Thanks!
JesseFrank
I think you will have a hard time to get a lower quote for decent work. When I installed 10 interior doors in my new house, the cheapest quote I could find was 41.000 Baht, and i can tell you I must have visited every carpenter in the Pattaya area. This included the staining and installing. No locks, doors or material included. I got quotes up to 90.000 Baht for the same job, that is 9000 Baht per door. I settled for the 41.000 Baht quotation, and am not happy with the end result
