January 31, 201412 yr Ceiling only 240cm, open roof triangular shape, could hang it flat and 10cm higher. What are the advantages of giving ceiling triangular shape, how much higher? Larger rooms= more aircon, true also for higher rooms?
February 6, 201412 yr Ok trying to see if I got this right? Current ceiling is 2.4metres. You want to raise the ceiling to 2.5 metres? an extra 10 cm...and rake the ceiling? What are the advantages of giving ceiling triangular shape, how much higher? Answer is there are no real advantages, it is for the look. February 9, 201412 yr Author @Krisb, you are so right, my question was hard to understand, I didn´t know what I wanted. Well after some talks with my builder, he built a 2 step up 15 cm each, i.e. new height is 2,70. See photo
February 10, 201412 yr Ahh, you wanted and got a coffered ceiling. Looks great and very popular in Thailand.
