Ajaan
I think for Q2 we need a translation into English first?
Deserted
Q2 Yeah its tricky. It reads she gets in a mood often. I wanted to find something other than arom sia (sorry can't type Thai). Since the subject is female I thought 'stroppy' might work but anything along those lines would be fine other than 'arom sia'
Richard W
My attempts would be ขี้โมโห for the temperament 'stroppy' and โมโห for 'in a strop'.
Somsrisonphimai
You mean she is moody, grouchy, grumpy, emotional, impatient? Kee bon can be translated to moody, grouchy, picky or grumpy. Kee moh hoh = emotional unstable Jai ron = impatient Jai noi = emotional unstable Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
Deserted
You mean she is moody, grouchy, grumpy, emotional, impatient? Kee bon can be translated to moody, grouchy, picky or grumpy. Kee moh hoh = emotional unstable Jai ron = impatient Jai noi = emotional unstable Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand Hi, I was trying to impress my tutor more than anything. In English we would only use the adjective 'stroppy' for women, grumpy we tend to use for men more. I was hoping to find a word in Thai that is only used for women, and meaning gets in a bad mood easily and is difficult to deal with.
rak sa_ngop
Somebody posted a learning Thai clip recently which introduced me to two words: งอน ngon peevish, petulant ง้อ ngo to reconcile, conciliate So when your girlfriend gets into a mood งอน you can make up to her ง้อ by taking her out for a nice meal. Sorry no time to find the clip but it was posted about a month ago.

CaptHaddock
If I understand "stroppy" correctly it would differ from "grumpy" in that, while both indicate ill-temper, the "grumpy" person is unlikely to engage in conflict (unless further provoked) while the "stroppy" or "bitchy" person is.
