BANGKOK: -- Pro-election supporters in Ratchathewi district made their own ballot boxes and papers after the real ballot boxes and voting papers could not be delivered to polling stations in the area.

Pro-election supporters in Ratchathewi district made their own ballot boxes and papers after the real ballot boxes and voting papers could not be delivered to polling stations in the area.

They organised their own election activities, as there were no electoral or district officials present at their polling unit.

The voters also made a big banner with a message saying: "The Ratchathewi district chief doesn't want an election so we'll vote by ourselves."

Not matter, I think if even void it will help see how the people feel

This was not an election

But a chance for the people to decide do they want

1) Taksin in for a dictatorship, as there was only 1 major party to vote for

2) A chance for a better Thailand by getting rid of all the corrupt politicians on both sides

As we have idea which one will get the most response, so we need to wait

Wife was told by a friend whose sister was working in a polling booth counters where amazed how many blank voting forms where put into the boxes.

Just maybe you can fool most Thai's some of the time

But I will be happy when you can not fool the Thai people all of the time

If she is the PM does she not know how to vote and need to ask someone to show her

It showed that people wanted to vote but were not allowed to exercise their own rights for a vote by some guy who decided that people of his district will not vote. Disgusting really. Some guys in power trying to take away peoples right for a vote, even it could be blank or NO vote....this is not a democracy

It also showed that the EC is incapable of meeting any real challenge to prevent voting interference and finding any solutions to assure voters can vote. The EC needs to be reformed so that it cannot act independently of voter needs and disrepect the electorial process. And for those voters who were blocked from voting, don't ever count on them voting Democrat in the future. The PTP thanks the Democrats for handing over their voters.
