moonao
Vile old creep surrounded by gun toting guards. About as Buddhist as my parrot Agree. He is an absolute disgrace to Buddhism and that's exactly why this charlatan is being pursued. A true Buddhist would be focusing on spotting and stopping defilement of his/her mind, not engaging in worldly matters like politics. And a Buddhist leader should be encouraging his/her followers to identify negative thoughts in their mind and control them, instead of doing the opposite.... whipping their emotions up in what can only be described as a mindlessness mob mentality. Refer to post # 11 how many of those fine upstanding gentlemen in the photo were charged, convicted and defrocked then? Were you barking the same rubbish in 2010 when Thaksin's hordes occupied Bangkok? Thaksin loves the smell of joss sticks in the morning.
moonao
This so called "monk" is unique in that he is surrounded by trigger happy gun toting thugs... stranger still is that there are gullible people still attempting to defend this con artist with all sorts of lame off-topic excuses. Not sure if they are trolls or have no understanding of Thai Buddhism whatsoever. What i'd like is for the media to swamp this "monk" when they disrobe him. If he gets a criminal conviction, jail him. Broadcast it far and wide. make an example of him. Edited February 5, 2014 by moonao

Showbags
Speaking of monks...went to say hello to our local one today, known him for 5 years or so, think he is gay and has/had a French boyfriend....anyway, rocked up and waved hello...missus immediatley says don't say hello to a monk like that...by the way he is head monk at this temple....he waves back and says hi. He is dressed in a skin tight safron robe off the shoulder number...I mean skin tight and his pecks are popping out, looked rather handsome he did. Big Bird Flippa
as soon as he is found guilty of violating the country's criminal laws. by this we infer that the "Buddhist Authority" also has considerable sway over the countries institutions that are responsible for administering the criminal laws. in colloquial terms it would be interpreted as "<deleted> you jack!" kikoman
He is about as much a Buddhist as Adolf was a Christian Men of the cloth should observe higher standards, Leading a group of private armed thugs is not about higher standards. All that will be arrested knew they were breaking the law, He deserves prison time, plain and simple! Peace to all!
ikke
Another Khaosod article and another one that includes their favourite word " alleged ". This man never incited anyone towards violence. In fact, he was the key negotiator in the opening up of part of the Government Complex today, and he was the man who persuaded a high ranking police officer to spend a few nights at one of the protest sites to hear what people had to say. He has been on a three weeks fast, and he is a man of his convictions. It is entirely up to his order to discipline him, but they should not use the Yingluck administration's absurd and self-serving list of charges to propel that. And now Thaksin's cousin has added his voice to it, as they all gang up - on a monk. Welcome to the new tourist image for Thailand. Surapong does not miss a beat, however, that he has set his sights far beyond this. Every person who joined this protest will come under the full weight of the law - as only the man who personally presented a passport to Thaksin could administer - and be under the diligent scrutiny of an administration that is now backed by a quorum-less parliament of 387 MPs, a rice scandal that is weighted down with shame, a Thaksin-favoured amnesty bill that sparked unprecedented unrest in the country, and having just overseen the most disunified election in the country's history. These great role models of the rule of law are now setting their sights on the only one they can conceive of picking on - a monk - and even there they need help from his elders. You must have a lot of time ... your posts are always so long and so empty. I bed you don't know the song "you say the best when you say nothing at all"
