DanBlack
I am sure there was a boating/marine thread on here somewhere Anyway I am in a marina in Penang and there is a guy wanting to buy passage for him, his wife and two older children. I told him I would ask if anyone was interested in Phuket
Popular Post Torrens54
Understand they leave from Indonesia on an almost daily basis. First Port of Call, if they don't sink is often Christmas Island.

I believe only Bangkok is connected with Australia.
IrishIvan
Cruise liners normally drop you off at your point of departure only. It isnt like a ferry service Contship do a passenger service, you could also try contacting MSIC, ANL, APL, Maersk, COSCO shipping

It isnt like a ferry service Contship do a passenger service, you could also try contacting MSIC, ANL, APL, Maersk, COSCO shipping Star Cruise between Singapore and Phuket is maybe a exception as it is possible to do a one way from Singapore to Phuket. But at most cruises this is not possible.

Yes, We booked a Singapore to Patong trip a few years ago, but not possible from Patong to Singapore. We booked at the Star travel agent top right side of Bangla. We flew down to Singers and cruised back home - an enjoyable trip. A bit off topic - I noticed that the Star Libra was just stooging about off Kata for about 4 hours this morning. Very unusual. Old Croc
I went on the Star Gemini a number of years back. Singapore-Phuket-Singapore. Was Ok, but sailed at night and parked in Ports most days. I prefer the cruising aspect rather than the tourism and shopping in little places along the way. Don't know if it's changed now, but the on-board casino was closed, even at sea, because of local laws.

The casino only closes when entering Thai waters, like one hour from Patong. The casino gave us the best entertainment watching all the high rollers at the wheel. Interesting to watch the various gambling strategies.

Back on topic, I remember seeing a tv show a long time ago when some travellers went down through Indon on local ferries and ended up in Dili where they caught a sailing vessel to Darwin. I doubt it's still operating now., Really the only way to get to Australia by sea these days would be by private yacht, and I couldn't see a skipper taking on a family, or as Irish said, passage on a cargo vessel out of Singapore, equipped with passenger cabins.
