lifestyle in Cherngtalay - Bang Tao area.help please

Featured Replies

I am considering living 6 months a year in Phuket,in the above area,I,ve been several times.

The main reason is I already have friends there who like the area and have similar life to mine.

I have read through the forums and was thinking to do this " step by step" and see if it works for me.

I am from the UK,58 years old, spent maybe 18 months in total throughout Thailand.

So my questions are ?

Apartment

Can I secure a place in these areas at baht 15000 to 20000 month rental, secure, quiet with high speed internet?,

suggestions welcomed.

Car Hire,

I though best to hire a car,at least the first month, looking for Honda Jazz,I read circa 15000 baht, any ideas ?

Gym.

Is there a gym in the area I can join on a monthly basis, more aerobic kit than body building.

Timing.

I am looking to be there March and April.

Thanks..

Its a big area, not sure about the gym. I have a firend that has a nice (ish) house for 14k a month, internet about 700, water & electricity about 2000.

Not being antagonistic but why would you not ask your friends who live there ? Surely they can help.

I am not asking my friend as he lives on the Laguna resort where he owns an apartment and has access to gym facilities,so he is not really familiar with the rental market and gyms outside, this is why i am seeking your advice,

Thanks

Yes there is a gym in Bang Tao, it is a nice one as well , good equipment and machines.

Forgotten the name but it is easy enough to find.

Send me a PM if you want directions
