90 day visa run from Had Yai

Featured Replies

Any info please about best (as in quickest/ cheapest) 90 day visa run from Had Yai.

Many thanks,

Dave

Quickest is minivan to Dannok, cheapest is public bus to Padang Besar.

90 day .. you mean, you got to do a re-entry to extend your multi-entry year visa.

Dannok is too busy .. Padang Besar is your best bet.

50B Minivan from a place called "Cheumrat Rd" 30M down the road on your right, which is off Petkasem Rd, not quite opposite the hand-painted movie posters. Take a taxi bike there if you are lost.

( Vans leave here regularly and head to the bus station, but sometimes you wait longer at the bus station and end up cramped in the seats at the back )

They will drop you at the border, at the border there are motorbike taxis that will take you round the circuit and drop you back into Padang Bezar minivan station, i think its like 90B, or something quite expensive sounding for the 10 minute trip, its easy enough to walk tho', say total time 30 mins.

For a swift trip, try the weekends. If you catch a van before 8.00 there are less customers needing drop-offs - walk the border for a bit of exercise - bike back to the mini van station and you could be back in HY by 11.00-12.00 when the vans are more frequent, taking weekend shoppers. The worst thing you could do is to leave HY in the late afternoon, vans stop quite early and you could end up getting stranded in Padang ( or Dannok. whistling.gif )

Theres a decent duty free at Padang Bezar.

If you mean to pick up a 90 day visa from Malaysia ( Penang or Kota Bharu), post back.
