Sojuncoke
I know groceries here don't have the selection and value of groceries in other countries so I would like to know how you cope in Thailand markets. I know chicken is cheap, for starters.
AlexRRR
There is enough in a Thai supermarket to satisfy most though i did when living there shop at 3 different branded supermarkets to cover my normal shopping basket. About the only thing i missed were dry biscuits, couldn't find a substitute to what i had been use to back in Oz. I coped, i changed, and all for the better when it came to food. RandomSand
Just because you can't buy paprika micro-chips doesn't mean that it's any harder to buy a few cuts of meat, some veegies, loaves of bread and a block of butter or a wedge of cheese. wym
Go to supermarket or other large aircon shops maybe three or four times in a year. 90% from the Khlong Toey fresh market, rest from the local traders in the street market around the corner. Budget's currently ~180 per day for a household of 7-9. Not counting khanom bought by the Thais, they seem to spend most of their income on that plus a bit for their mobile top-ups and lottery tickets.
