Income letter , 6 months or 30 days?

About a year ago I read here on TV that income letters less than 6 months old would now be honored by immigration.

Previously, they had to be within 30 days of the date you were extending, applying or whatever.

I have heard rumors that not all immigration offices are going along with this and some still require a letter less than 30 days old.

Can anyone confirm this?

For what it is worth, I use the Khorat office.

The reason I ask is that once a year I have had to go to Bangkok and get a fresh letter within 30 days of my next appointment.

Being content little Issan Farang, I don't really like having to go to Bangkok and would like to avoid it if possible.

When I went in for my letter last year, American Services informed me that they do come to larger cities ( like Khorat ) from time to time and I could get my letter there and not need to make the trip to the Big Mango.

I am now within 6 month of my next extension and if and if the 6 month rule works, I will try to go to American Services next time they come north.

Thanks in advance.
