SCOT'S THAI BRIDE IS SEEDY £50-A-TIME MADAM SIN

Mar 2 2004

Exclusive Vice girl arranged tricks on dayofher wedding

By Mark Mcgivern

A SCOT married a Thai hooker called Sin then helped get her a job selling her body in a brothel.

Gavin McBride delighted family and friends when he told them he had fallen in love with a girl he met on holiday.

He brought petite Sin Nasurin over to his home town of Dunfermline from Pattaya, Thailand, on a fiancŽe visa.

But soon Sin was working as a vice girl in a seedy flat. She then moved on to an Edinburgh sauna, where she turns tricks for £50 a time.

A guest at the couple's wedding told last night how the shameless vice girl arranged 'tricks' on her big day.

Just minutes after saying 'I do' to McBride, she said 'I will' to a punter who called on the phone.

One onlooker said: 'It was amazing to watch because Sin hadn't even posed for the wedding photographs outside when the phone went.

'We were amazed she even had a telephone switched on at such an important moment in her life.

'It was obvious she was making arrangements to meet someone but no one knew the details at the time.

'Everything became apparent very soon afterwards.'

Sin, 34, had been welcomed into the fold by the small community of Thai nationals living in Dunfermline with Scots husbands. But after the prostitution racket emerged, she and McBride, 39, were ostracised.

One source, a former friend, added: 'We thought Sin and Gavin would settle down like other couples in the area. Around five couples were at the wedding, proving how happy Scots men can be with Thai women in a loving relationship.

'Thailand has something of a reputation for vice in some areas but that is a stereotype people here were very anxious to avoid.

'Nothing could be further from the truth for most Thai girls who come to Scotland but Sin's disgraceful behaviour means everyone could be tarred with the same brush.'

The source said some couples faced anxiety over their children being bullied at school if rumours were spread about Sin's sleazy occupation.

The source added: 'McBride knows exactly what she is up to and he has often picked her up from work, no matter how he might try to deny it.'

McBride's family stood with him at Dunfermline register office last February when the couple tied the knot.

They had been delighted to see him move on after one failed marriage. But they will be ashamed to hear of his part in setting up his wife at the London Street sauna in Edinburgh city centre.

Sin had originally operated from a dingy flat on Dunfermline's Townhill Road, using ads in personal sections of magazines to attract customers.

She was forced to shut that operation down after complaints made to her face by her former friend.

She now offers her services for £50 at the sauna, using the working name Kim.

An undercover Daily Record reporter visited the sauna last week and was told by a receptionist: 'Kim is a lovely Thai girl, very petite, but her English isn't perfect.'

After paying£15to enter the premises, our man was ushered into a locker room. Sin approached him and said: 'It's £50 for everything, that's everything.'

Our reporter made his excuses and left. Sin, whose father is a policeman in Pattaya and whose mother is a retired nurse, travels on the train to Edinburgh from Dunfermline for each shift.

On one journey, she took snaps with her mobile phone camera to send back to friends in Pattaya.

Our source said: 'We are terrified that she has been sizing up Scotland as a place to establish her friends in the same line of work.

'We know she has been telling people at home about how cushy her life is over here and they may be tempted to follow her if they can latch on to someone like McBride.'

McBride would often pick up his wife from the sauna after finishing his work as a steel fabricator with Lochgelly firm Andrew's Aerials.

He met Sin while she was working in a notorious sleaze den in Pattaya known for its 'anything goes' sex, often involving prostitutes and their clients in full view of others.

News of her past leaked out in Dunfermline after another Thai girl recognised her.Sin has continued to work as a vice girl despite pleas from the rest of her community for her to give it up.

McBride originally denied his wife was a vice girl when confronted by the Record. But he finally confessed: 'It's true. She is a prostitute.'

He claimed his marriage was genuine and he did not receive a penny from his wife's earnings. He added: 'She sends all her earnings back to Thailand to her family.

'She wasn't a prostitute when I met her. She got involved in it through a friend when she came to Scotland.'

Sin is only one of hundreds of Far Eastern vice girls operating in Scotland, as highlighted in the Daily Record's recent anti-vice campaign.

McBride said he and his wife had been wary of being exposed by the Record after reading our reports.

But he said: 'I don't have a problem with what Sin does as I don't think prostitution is degrading to women.'

Neighbours of the McBrides said they had no idea of the couple's background.

Huski, I think you evaluated every possibilty. The little one in your avatar gives the correct reaction to Gavin McBride.

I do know a couple of Marks, but not sure about Mark Mcgivern.

He was the one who wrote the thing, was he the same who was denied access by 10 BG last December on Soi Cowboy?
